Can you be brave enough?

Recently, I contributed a piece for the series God In the New Journey: Being Brave Enough to Step Out over at Precepts and Life Preservers, the blog site of my sweet friend, Christine.

Earlier this year, as I participated in prayer and fasting with our local church, a devotion they sent out to participants reminded me of the story of Nehemiah.

The focus verse wrecked me then and it wrecks me now.

For the past two months, I’ve pretty much told everyone I know {or who would listen to me long enough} about the lessons found in Nehemiah. So, when I received Christine’s invitation…how could I not grab the chance to tell her readers about the wisdom in this verse?

I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Nehemiah 6.3 ESV

Are you brave enough to stick with what God has given you to do even when others don't see it? Be encouraged here on how to do it...The truth is, most of us spend a good deal of time and effort searching to find God’s purpose for our life. We pray, “God, what is that thing you have called me to do?”

While God may give you a specific ministry or mission that extends over the decades of your life, it’s important to understand that He will call you to do many things.

The question I have for you today is this:  “Are you brave enough to NOT come down when God gives you something to do for Him?”

Join me over at Christine’s lovely blog to read the rest of my post… Being brave enough to NOT come down.

What an honor to participate in this beautiful series at Precepts and Life Preservers. You can read and be encouraged by all the writers of the “God In the New Journey” series STARTING HERE.
